We would like to inform you about the launch of the action " Serbia Hacking Corona ", based on the model of an online hackathon, which aims to bring together experts and enthusiasts of different profiles (healthcare workers, developers, makers, consultants) in one place so that, with joint forces, knowledge and skills, we managed to develop products that can help our healthcare workers and the healthcare system in the days ahead.
The action of making protective visors ( Visionaries of Serbia ) showed that together we can do a lot. There is a large number of visors already printed, as well as those that are injected from plastic. We expect that in the coming days, the process of mass production using the injection molding technique will be improved, so now is a good time for a part of the manufacturing community to slowly focus on other ideas that we can develop. This does not mean that the production of visors will be completely stopped, but it simply means that a smaller group of manufacturers will be focused on producing larger quantities. It is up to the makers of the local communities to independently decide whether to focus on things other than visors, according to the demand and rhythm of supply.
Action organization
The idea is to put together a list of products that are potentially relevant to healthcare professionals at this time. We invite all of you, especially experts from the relevant fields of health and engineering, to submit yours, as well as to vote for existing ideas, in order to make a selection of the most important products that we will focus on in terms of research and prototyping.
Voting starts today and ends on Thursday evening, after which we will inform you about the groups to be formed. The idea is that each group focuses on the development of an individual product. So everyone who wants to participate in the development of either masks, respirators or other products will have the opportunity.

- Yes, it is clear to us that there are various challenges, starting from technical to biological, medical and legal, but we believe that the community can gather a sufficient number of qualified, expert and smart people who, relying on the rest of the world community, can produce some practical ideas, or at least provide more specific answers as to why something cannot be done.
