The Faculty of Technical Sciences is one of the most modern organized higher education institutions in the region with a tradition of 57 years, known and recognized throughout the world, and engineers educated at this Faculty work and achieve notable results in any company that has to do with technology, production, education or services, because of all the professions that are trained in our country, technology is still the most in demand.
The faculty was founded on May 18, 1960 as the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The strong development of the economy and the needs of society contributed to the launch of new professions of electrical engineering and construction, so in 1974 the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering grew into the Faculty of Technical Sciences.
The Faculty of Technical Sciences was accredited for performing scientific activities in 2007, and re-accredited in 2010. In May 2008, it was among the first in Serbia to be accredited as a higher education institution for teaching activities. At the beginning of 2013, the Faculty of Technical Sciences accredited 88 study programs of all study levels.
All study programs of basic, master's and doctoral academic studies are accredited for teaching in English.
The Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad is a higher education and scientific research institution whose mission is the implementation of high-quality educational processes, the development of scientific disciplines and the transfer of acquired knowledge to the economy and society. The Faculty of Technical Sciences realizes its mission in three interrelated basic groups of activities: higher education, scientific research work and transfer of knowledge to the economy.
