NTP Belgrade was founded in partnership with the Government of the RS (on behalf of the Government, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development), the City of Belgrade and the University of Belgrade, with the aim of creating a favorable environment for the connection of the economy and scientific research and educational organizations, the transfer of knowledge, the development of new technology, commercialization of innovations, networking and stimulating the growth of the knowledge-based economy.
NTP Belgrade is developing into a new technological core of the city that gathers technological development companies, domestic and foreign, and encourages the establishment of start-up companies, creating a favorable environment for innovation, technological development and competitiveness.
The science and technology park is located in the quiet surroundings of the Zvezdara Forest and covers an area of 16,446 m2, which extends over 6.6 ha. The park is located in the central area of Belgrade, 4.5 km from the city center and 22 km from the international airport. The technical faculties are only 1 km away, while the Mihajlo Pupin Institute is in the immediate vicinity, which significantly contributes to the concentration of institutions important for technological development and the development of innovation.

REFERENCE INSTITUTIONS IN THE PARK
The Business Technology Incubator of Technical Faculties Belgrade Ltd. was established in partnership with four technical faculties of the University of Belgrade (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Metallurgical Technology), the municipality of Palilula and the Initiative for Democratic Transition in 2006, and the establishment is based on international experience and best practice examples . BITF works to support young, technically educated people to start and develop their own business and thus achieve their economic existence and stay in the country, as well as to create spinoff companies, thereby promoting the transfer of knowledge and technologies from universities to the economy. BITF continuously works on the development of new SMEs in the field of high technologies.
Fund for innovative activities of the RS - The Fund creates and implements financing programs for innovative projects in various areas of technology development. With the support of experts from various fields of science, technology transfer and commercialization of innovations, the Fund, through the Innovation Support Project, implemented with the expert support of the World Bank, allocated €6 million from the pre-accession funds (IPA) of the European Union to Serbia, for the financing of 55 innovation projects. http://www.inovacionifond.rs/
